Mike Otworth

CEO

Mike is CEO of PureCycle Technologies. Mike is also the CEO of Innventure, which manages PureCycle Technologies.

Prior to Innventure, Mike served as President and Founding Partner of Green Ocean Innovation for six years. Other founding partners included Dr. Harry Jacobson, Chairman of MedCare Investments and former CEO of Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Joseph Cook, Jr., Chairman of Mountain Group Capital; former CEO and Chairman of Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Vice-President Global Operations, Eli Lilly and Company. Green Ocean provided technology sourcing and innovation strategy and development services to Lilly/Elanco Animal Health primarily focusing on therapeutics, diagnostics and various medical devices.

Prior to Green Ocean, Mike served as Vice-President and Founding CEO of multiple start-ups at XL TechGroup (XLTG). Mike was a key senior management leader of XLTG, which founded, capitalized and advanced companies successfully to late stage funding. Six of the late stage funding events included IPOs in New York and London creating $4.5 Billion of market value.

Mike began his career on Capitol Hill working as a legislative aide and committee staff member in the U.S. House of Representatives after Graduating from Otterbein University with a B.A. in Political Science & Biology.

David Brenner

David Brenner

Chief Commercial Officer

David Brenner is a data driven executional leader. David brings 15 years of experience in leading and delivering transformational projects across a wide range of industries and was hire #1 to bring PureCycle Technologies to life operationally. David focuses on building the strategy and driving overall business execution, including leading the global expansion team and working closely with finance and capital markets leadership to drive capitalization efforts.

Prior to joining PureCycle, David held the position of Senior Manager at Deloitte. David earned his MBA from Texas A&M and holds a B.A. in Business Administration, Operations Management from The University of Texas.

Jim Donnally

Chief Finance Officer

Jim has in-depth experience in treasury, asset management, lender and regulatory relations, and employee benefit administration.
In addition to his role at PureCycle Technologies, Jim serves as VP and CFP for Glockner Enterprises, southeast Ohio’s leading transportation solution organization. Previously, Jim was a CPA at Hayflich & Steinberg, where he prepared for-profit audit, review, compilation and tax engagements for regional wholesale, retail, manufacturing and service concerns, specializing in consolidations.
Jim received his bachelors in accounting with minors in economics, finance, philosophy, psychology and theater in 1991 from Marshall University.

Thomas Cripe

Head of Business Development

Tom serves as Head of Business Development for Innventure, a role that began with his help in shaping the company’s business model in 2015. He brings 35 years of experience in technology development and has been focused on bringing new-to-the-world technology to the market. Prior to joining Innventure, Tom retired from a 32-year career at Proctor & Gamble where he held the role of Director, Global Business Development. He earned a Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Physical Organic Chemistry from Northwestern University and holds a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Norbert College.

Gene Guerra

Vice President, Finance

Gene serves as the Vice President, Finance where he brings over 25 years of financial and operational leadership in both Fortune 500 and operational start-up companies. Prior to joining Innventure, Gene held the position of Director of Finance at Primal Innovation, Senior Director of Finance and Underwriting for CuraScript Pharmacy, and Finance Manager for Walt Disney World. He earned a M.B.A, a J.D., and a B.S. in Business Administration, Economics from the University of Florida.

Chris Talarek

Senior Director of Operations

Chris is passionate about plastic recycling. He is a former entrepreneur who pursued this passion having founded, funded and led his own post-consumer recycling plastics facility in Ohio prior to being recruited to join the PureCycle team. His leadership will be instrumental in pulling together the infrastructure and creating the teams to build both our FEU & Commercial plant for PureCycle Technologies.

In addition, Chris has over 20 years of operations leadership experience and holds a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron. Throughout his tenure, Chris has held ever-increasing leadership roles for both engineering and operational teams in large and small manufacturing operations such as BP Oil, P&G, and TimberTech to name a few.

Jason Vititoe

Jason Vititoe

Director of Technology

Jason is a Chemical Engineer in heart and mind. He holds two product patents in polystyrene and has over 14 years of experience in both plastics and manufacturing. Prior to joining the PureCycle team, Jason led all operations along with all the capital projects for Americas Styrenics’ largest polystyrene site. His leadership will be key to bringing the P&G patented process to life at scale for both Plant One and Globally.

Jason has over 17 years of operations and engineering leadership experience with Dow Chemical and Americas Styrenics. He also holds both a BS & MS Degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University as well as the University of Michigan, respectively. As a child, Jason was taught to return things in better condition than they were received. He joined the PureCycle team to do just that with the world.

Matt Cripe

Director of Sales

Matt serves as the Director of Sales for PureCycle Technologies and is responsible for sourcing and managing PureCycle's offtake relationships.

Prior to joining the PureCycle team, Matt began his career in personal and small business finance before transitioning to pharmaceutical sales. Working for one of the industry’s foremost leaders in pharmaceutical manufacturing and sales, he successfully managed a broad portfolio with over 150 clients. Following his time there, Matt leveraged his talents in sales as well as his relationships within the industry to help launch a newly formed specialty pharmacy, where he was tasked with leading the sales and partnership effort.

Matt is committed to aiding PureCycle’s current and future partners in satisfying their sustainability goals while helping address the ever-growing plastic crisis our world faces. Matt holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Dayton.

Rachel Dial

Associate Director, Partnerships & Integration

Rachel serves as the Associate Director of Partnerships and Integration for PureCycle Technologies and works across PureCycle’s flagship priorities of growing offtake/feedstock partnerships, implementing operational business processes, and supporting financing activities. Prior to joining PureCycle, Rachel worked at Deloitte and excelled as a generalist, who was consistently deployed to the most critical projects for her U.S. Department of Defense client. Rachel holds a B.A. in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.

Ryan Chambers

Associate Director, Global Expansion

Ryan serves a multifunctional role helping manage the critical path for PureCycle’s global expansion efforts across non-US feedstock/offtake partnerships, site selection, and overall process development.

Prior to joining PureCycle, Ryan spent 10 years in the financial services industry in roles that spanned corporate cash management and investment sales for private equity and real estate platforms. More recently, he helped build a family-owned lifestyle company, managing logistics from warehousing, fulfillment, overseas manufacturing, and wholesale distribution. The company grew from a small operation in a spare bedroom to distribution in over 600 retail outlets across the U.S.

Ryan holds a B.S. in Business Management from The King’s College in New York City.

Rick Blakeslee

Senior Leader, Special Projects

Rick is a seasoned leader within the PET Recycling Industry, taking an active role in many of the original FDA-LNO programs, while leading commercial operations likely producing in excess of a billion pounds of recycled products, dating all the way back to 1991. Included in this experience was leading projects and start ups, in four different countries, ranging from internal expansions to greenfields. PureCycle is Rick's sixth start up endeavor.

A Chemical Engineer by heart and soul, and fueled with a passion for commercial development, Rick's decades of experience in plastic's processing is brought to the PureCycle team, working across various projects, with a focus on product flow for the commercial plant. Sustainability has been the bedrock of Rick's career and is excited to lead the charge into this new adventure of polypropylene recycling.

Scott Brown

Senior Project Leader

Scott has 36 years of experience in operations and maintenance management, operational readiness, operational excellence, process safety management, technology evaluation, new facility commissioning, operations start-up and project management in the military, food processing, photovoltaic/solar, electronic specialty chemical materials and extraction industries. He gained this experience working on major capital projects throughout North America, Taiwan R.O.C. and Germany. These projects have ranged in size from a few million to multi-billion dollar investments. He has also been involved in business development in the Middle East, India, Singapore, China, South Korea and Europe.

Scott has held a variety of executive and management positions while being an owner/principal partner in a business development consulting firm. He has worked in various capacities production, engineering, purchasing, production plant cost control and project management). He has work in the food industry with Frito-Lay, the specialty materials industry with Advanced Silicon Materials Ind and REC Silicon. Scott has B.S. in chemical engineering, and began his professional career by completing Officer Candidate School, Nuclear Power training and Submarine Officer Basic School. He then participated in the overhauling and re-commissioning of a Nuclear submarine as a Nuclear Propulsion Officer.

Senior Quality Program Leader

Mark comes to PureCycle with a wide range of experience. He spent 23 years with Dow Chemical in multiple functions and roles. During this time he was part of several plant start-ups in both Germany and Thailand, where he implemented the quality and operating discipline systems. He most recently served as general manager for a modular systems provider, who delivers products to customers on an International scale. His experience as a Business Quality Leader as well as working in all facets of an organization, will contribute greatly as PureCycle brings our product to commercial scale and the global market.

Mark has a BS in Industrial Technology and also an MBA from Ohio University. Mark believes opportunities to truly impact the world are very rare in this life. He is excited and thankful to be part of the PureCycle team, and their vision of a Pure Planet.

Melissa Whitt

Business Administration Leader

Melissa, a native of southern Ohio, has more than 12 years of leadership experience in community engagement and development.

Her previous leadership roles include, community relations and development responsibilities for a regional FQHC and behavioral health center, where she worked on public relations and marketing projects, including chairing major fundraisers for youth outreach and drug prevention programs and setting record breaking numbers for both awareness, net profits, and engagement. She also successfully managed a University of Kentucky Research Lab, overseeing federally funded grants focusing on tobacco cessation for teenagers in southern Ohio and northeastern Kentucky. The lab was the first federally funded research center in southern Ohio.

Melissa earned a B.S. in Organizational Communications from Ohio University Southern, plus an A.A.S. in Electronic Media degree with a concentration in video production. She also holds a Marketing Certification from Ohio University Southern and Human Resource Certification from University of Kentucky.

Aishah Jones

Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

Aishah Jones is an Environmental Scientist with more than 17 years of experience in multi-media regulatory compliance, industrial safety and natural resources management programs. She joins the PureCycle team as the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager, who will assist the team in developing and facilitating PureCycle’s regulatory compliance, permitting, sustainability, and waste minimization initiatives policies and procedures.

Prior to joining PureCycle, Ms. Jones was a Project Manager with Trihydro corporation, an environmental engineering and remediation firm. She provided a wide array of consulting services to support private industry and the public sector including projects with Procter and Gamble, Stericycle, Holly Frontier, Heritage-Crystal Clean, Chevron, and the US Air Force. She served in varied professional capacities, including EMS/ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, Environmental Training Instructor, Environmental Compliance Officer, Sustainability Coordinator, and Waste Management Specialist. Aishah has served as a technical resource for numerous Department of Defense installations, including more than seven years as an on-site Senior Environmental Protection Specialist.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Alabama A&M University, a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Tuskegee University and is the proud mother of two wonderful sons.

Originally from Lexington Kentucky, Amy currently calls southern Ohio home. Amy has 20 years of Accounting Leadership and Business experience in the Natural Resources and Renewable Energy markets. During the span of her career, Amy has utilized her talents and expertise in these venues to grow and sustain the financial well-being of several companies. Amy has a passion for numbers which she has used to assist companies achieve their financial goals, ensuring longevity and success. Amy received both her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Master’s in Business Management from Morehead State University.

Tammy Adkins

AP/AR Coordinator

As a dedicated accounting and bookkeeping professional, Tammy has been meeting the accounting needs of companies and individuals in the Tri-State area for the past 30 years.
She currently works as the AP/AR Coordinator at the PureCycle Ohio office. Tammy got her start in the accounting industry working for a small town Law office in Kentucky in the 1980’s.

Professionally, she enjoys the challenge of identifying and solving problems, meeting the needs of the customer and being a trusted and ethical professional.

Personally, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening and giving back to her small town community.

Kara Viademonte

Business Analyst

Kara is a Business Analyst with 3 years of professional experience solving complex problems in the telecommunications and entertainment industries. In her previous role at NBC Universal, she played a key role in delivering technology products on time, according to scope, and was the final line of defense for mitigating various high profile project risks. Kara’s experiences have positively impacted various consumer regions across the globe. Kara is a graduate from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing.

Diana Schwering

Senior Executive Assistant

Diana serves as Senior Executive Assistant to CEO, Mike Otworth. A role in which she brings over 12 years of experience in supporting C-Level executives. Prior to joining PureCycle Technologies, Diana supported the Chief Operating Officer at Bluegreen Vacations and additionally coordinated various Executive Forum Events featuring a roster of notable speakers including a former US President, US Senators, authors and sports celebrities. She earned her B.A. in Organization Behavior from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

Amy Jo Clark

Director, Corporate Communications

Amy Jo’s skill for communications spans several genres, including corporate, scientific, government, academic, and broadcast media. With more than 20 years experience, she has managed multiple projects and people throughout the years, working at companies such as Eli Lilly, Abbott Laboratories, and Kodak. She’s passionate about telling a company’s story, and she believes that the heart of every company lies in the people who believe in its mission.

Prior to joining PureCycle, Amy Jo was a professional broadcaster for almost eight years, where she co-produced a local daily radio talk show in Indianapolis. Additionally, Amy Jo was a Medical Writer and an Adjunct Professor of Communications in the School of Engineering at IUPUI. In 2009, she co-founded COTR, LLC – a news and pop-culture brand. She is a published author, public speaker, and podcaster.

Amy Jo earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Rhetoric and Composition from Georgia State University and a Master of Science in Technical and Professional Communications from Southern Polytechnic State University.

Rachel has spent the last five years building and leading high performing teams across telecommunications and federal technology industries. In her previous role at Deloitte Consulting, Rachel was consistently deployed to the project’s most critical work-streams to manage a range of complex interdependencies that took her to Hawaii and Japan for the implementation of a DoD system. Rachel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.

As a dedicated accounting and bookkeeping professional, Tammy has been meeting the accounting needs of companies and individuals in the Tri-State area for the past 30 years.
She currently works as the AP/AR Coordinator at the PureCycle Ohio office. Tammy got her start in the accounting industry working for a small town Law office in Kentucky in the 1980’s.

Professionally, she enjoys the challenge of identifying and solving problems, meeting the needs of the customer and being a trusted and ethical professional.

Personally, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening and giving back to her small town community.

Diana Schwering

Senior Executive Assistant

Diana serves as Senior Executive Assistant to CEO, Mike Otworth. A role in which she brings over 12 years of experience in supporting C-Level executives. Prior to joining PureCycle Technologies, Diana supported the Chief Operating Officer at Bluegreen Vacations and additionally coordinated various Executive Forum Events featuring a roster of notable speakers including a former US President, US Senators, authors and sports celebrities. She earned her B.A. in Organization Behavior from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

Amy Jo Clark

Director, Corporate Communications

Amy Jo’s skill for communications spans several genres, including corporate, scientific, government, academic, and broadcast media. With more than 20 years experience, she has managed multiple projects and people throughout the years, working at companies such as Eli Lilly, Abbott Laboratories, and Kodak. She’s passionate about telling a company’s story, and she believes that the heart of every company lies in the people who believe in its mission.

Prior to joining PureCycle, Amy Jo was a professional broadcaster for almost eight years, where she co-produced a local daily radio talk show in Indianapolis. Additionally, Amy Jo was a Medical Writer and an Adjunct Professor of Communications in the School of Engineering at IUPUI. In 2009, she co-founded COTR, LLC – a news and pop-culture brand. She is a published author, public speaker, and podcaster.

Amy Jo earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Rhetoric and Composition from Georgia State University and a Master of Science in Technical and Professional Communications from Southern Polytechnic State University.
